Description

The Simplex 4098-9789 Detector Base TrueAlarm sensor base contains integral addressable electronics that constantly monitor the status of the detachable photoelectric or heat sensors. Each sensor’s output is digitized and transmitted to the system fire alarm control panel every four seconds. The 4098-9789 comes with a variety of features like connections for a remote LED alarm indicator or unsupervised relay. The Simplex 4098-9789 and TrueAlarm sensor bases include addressable electronics that monitor the detachable photoelectric or heat sensors at all times. The base digitizes each sensor’s output and sends it to the fire alarm control panel every four seconds.

TrueAlarm sensors use the same base, so you can swap sensor types to match each location. You can also swap sensors during construction.

When dust levels rise in the Simplex 4098-9789 Detector Base, install a heat sensor instead of covering a smoke sensor and taking it out of service. You do not need to reprogram the panel. The panel may show the wrong sensor type, but the heat sensor still runs at a default setting and provides heat detection at that spot.
